MELBOURNE EXHIBITION CENTRE

Commonly known throughout Melbourne as Jeff’s shed in honour of the then Liberal Party premier, this project was modelled and detailed by the Managing Director of CPL, Peter Cocciardi back in1994. The roof trusses have a clear span of 84 meters and have 256 individual components. The 440m long roof was detailed in large preassembled panels to assist in the site erection. This was the first major infrastructure in Melbourne to gain benefits from the use of CAD drafting.
